Misuse of Language

Misuse of Language!!!!  Is this really possible????

Yes, it is possible and being happened in our daily life.

For this, first you have to understand, Is there really any use of a Language? Silly question!! Of course there is.  Because, we can’t talk to each other in the absence of this.  Then how is it being misused?  Ha! Ha! Ha!  Let me clarify.

Now a day’s some people don’t use language as a mode of conversation.  They are misusing it by various means.  Many people forget the actual meaning of language while talking to someone else.  How?  Just think for a moment.  For example, if you are a Hindi speaking person and making simple conversations with another Hindi speaking person, then why is the necessity of using English in the entire conversation?  Both of you can understand Hindi.  So using English in this context is nothing but the misuse of English Language.  You can use English while talking to your Non-English speaking friends as a part of Spoken English Class for the sake of practice only.  Not only English, but for other languages also, you have to remember this.  But while talking to your English friends, you should use English only.  In that context you should not use any language other than English during your entire conversation.  Moreover, using two or more languages in a single conversation without any need is simply the misuse of those. Some types of conversations of a group of people are very much ridiculous.  I am giving an instance for this.  The conversation is like:  “Kaal raat mein maine itna khana khaya ke you know, I started vomiting.  Maine so nahin paya all night, beech beech mein I was getting pain in my stomach!”  Oh!  What an utmost misuse of two languages!  Just think why should we accept this type of talking?  If both of them are Hindi speaking persons, then what is the use of English here?  It only proves that the Orator has poured some EXTRA SMARTNESS in his/her personality which is genuinely not required (I have used the phrase “Extra Smartness” because “Over smartness” may offend anyone).  So I believe that if the person opposite to you is unable to understand your language, then only you have to choose one such language which is common to both of you.  Do you know the person opposite to you may get insulted when you throw another language unknown to him/her while making conversation?  You have no right to insult him/her by your EXTRA SMARTNESS.  I am not an Englishman, but I had to use English Language in writing this article because of making the reader understand.  Language doesn’t define your personality.  You are smart or a man of good personality because of your thinking, your talent, your intelligence, your extra-curricular activities etc. only, not for language.  Language is a part of our daily life for which we can communicate each other.  If there is no necessity of using a language other than your own, you need not use this.  That will not lessen your real worth.

My appeal: You may be a Bengali/Marathi/Oriya/Tamil/Telugu/Punjabi/Gujrati/Rajasthani person, just use your own regional language only while making conversation with your cognate or use a common language understandable to both of you while talking to a different person.  Please do not take language as a part of fashion and don’t be a Polyglot at the time of talking, don’t even mix so many languages in a single conversation, rather use only one language considering the necessity of speaking.

Your EXTRA SMARTNESS may satisfy you, but it may incommode someone opposite to you.

We should treat language as a tool of talking.

We should use only, not misuse it.
