Is Money/Power/Fame really everything??

To judge the validity of the title, let us first come to the context of ‘Money’.

‘Money’ is an ideal solution to all problems – so it is thought. Really! Who does not want money! A man needs money every moment of his life. But some are satisfied with little money or used to adapt, while others, having a lot of money, strive to have more money. It is completely different from person to person. However, it is undeniable that all people need more or less money for daily living. Now the question is: Is money everything in a person’s life? It is never possible for any one person to answer this question. Many people think that money can buy everything, for them money is everything in life. Others think that money can buy everything, but happiness, peace, joy, love, passion – these can never be bought. So for them money is just a part of life. Some people are in danger because they have more money, while many people are in trouble because of less money or no money. So it is impossible to make any definite statement that money is everything in life. Now let’s talk about power–

‘Power’ is something that has more side effects than action. The tyranny of the strong on the weak in various areas of society proves it. But here we are not talking about physical power, the power that is given by assigning a task to a person is the subject of discussion here. One is given power so that he can use that power to serve others. But in reality it is the opposite. Misuse of power to harm people and end people’s lives in extreme cases is increasing day by day. So in the case of ‘power’ it can be said that one should make the life of others by proper use of power, but it is never desirable to destroy his life by misusing power. That is why it is not possible to say whether power is everything.

Now come to the word ‘Fame’. What exactly is fame? Familiarity, popularity – these are known as fame. But how does this fame come about? through work. But work is good, bad – both can be! That’s right! That is why people become famous and infamous – both. Apart from the above two things i.e. ‘money’ and ‘ability’ a man can gain fame by doing good deeds. A celebrity’s recommendation often benefits another person. But if someone reaches the peak of fame and becomes arrogant and commits one wrong after another by humiliating others, then what is the use of gaining that fame!! So fame should not be everything in a man’s life.

Now if money/power/fame isn’t everything, then what is most important? Let’s discuss –

Benefiting someone directly or indirectly with money is a noble deed. Even if it is not done, there is no problem either. Because a person can use all of his earned money for his own use, donating or helping others may not be obligatory in his character. But if he has the mentality of doing harm to someone with money, then how can he be recognized as a human being, giving priority is far from the end. Doing evil does not always mean harming, but it also includes aceing, belittling, insulting, making puppets of others for the sake of money etc. Thieves, miscreants, corrupt people – they also have a lot of money. They earn money by harming others and use that money to earn more money by harming people. If money were everything, then they would be the masters of society, but in reality it never is. The same is true of power and fame.

“Money, Power and Fame” – putting these three things to good use is possible for a man only if he has ‘humanity’ in him. So one needs to be a human being first, and after that money/power/fame, only then will the true character of that human being be known. Every man moves at his own pace, now if an inhuman arrogant person possessing these three things humiliates, insults and harms a poor, powerless, common man, how will these describe his personality! If a real ‘man’ uses his thoughts and ideas properly for the great improvement of society, and gets good use of those three things, then he can solve many big problems in an instant. At present, the entire mankind is suffering due to its lack. The disappearance of humanity from man and the abundance of these three things are the main causes of the deterioration of society. So whether the good effects of these three things fall on others or not, they can be called ‘everything’ only if their bad effects are avoided. And that can only happen if there is humanity.

My appeal: In life money, power, fame – these you will achieve. Because these are the keys to living well! Along with that, strong thinking, right mentality and being a good person is also necessary. Help others as much as possible, if you don’t want to, don’t. But never think of insulting or harming others on the basis of money, power and fame. If you can recognize yourself as a human being, then only “Money, Power and Fame” – you will enjoy the fruits of these!  What is the use of accumulating money, power and fame by abandoning a healthy mind!!

So let ‘Humanity’ be your ‘Wealth’, ”Money, Power and Fame” – let these be your ‘Capital’ and “Help the poor” be your ‘venture’. As an entrepreneur, start your business today to build a healthy society by utilizing resources through proper investment of capital.

সত্যিই কি অর্থ/ক্ষমতা/খ্যাতি – এইগুলোই সবকিছু??

শিরোনামটার বৈধতা বিচারের জন্য প্রথমেই ‘অর্থ’-এর প্রসঙ্গে আসা যাক।

‘অর্থ’ সমস্ত সমস্যার সমাধানের একটা আদর্শ উপাদান- এরকমই মনে করা হয়। সত্যিই তো! টাকা কে না চায়! একজন মানুষের বেঁচে থাকার প্রতিটা মুহূর্তে টাকার প্রয়োজন। তবে কেউ অল্প টাকাতেই সন্তুষ্ট বা মানিয়ে নিতে অভ্যস্ত, আবার কেউ প্রচুর টাকা থাকার পরেও আরো বেশী টাকার অধিকারী হওয়াতে সচেষ্ট। বিষয়টা পুরোপুরিই ব্যক্তিবিশেষে ভিন্ন। যাই হোক, সব মানুষেরই দৈনন্দিন জীবনযাপনের জন্য যে কম-বেশী টাকার দরকার, তা অনস্বীকার্য। এখন প্রশ্ন হলঃ একটা মানুষের জীবনে টাকাই কি সব? এই প্রশ্নের উত্তর কোনো একজন মানুষের পক্ষে দেওয়া কখনোই সম্ভব নয়। অনেকের ধারণা টাকা দিয়ে সব কিছু কেনা যায়, তাদের কাছে জীবনে টাকাটাই সব। আবার কেউ কেউ মনে করেন যে টাকা দিয়ে সবকিছু কেনা গেলেও সুখ, শান্তি, আনন্দ, ভালোবাসা, আবেগ- এসব কখনোই কেনা সম্ভব নয়। তাই তাদের কাছে টাকা জীবনের একটা অংশ মাত্র। কিছু মানুষ বেশী টাকার অধিকারী হয়ে অনেকসময় বিপদে পড়েন, আবার অনেকেই কম টাকা বা টাকা না থাকার জন্য সমস্যায় পড়েন। তাই জীবনে টাকাটাই সব কিনা সেটার কোনো স্থির বিবৃতি দেওয়া অসম্ভব।  এবারে আসা যাক ক্ষমতার প্রসঙ্গে–

‘ক্ষমতা’ এমনই এক জিনিস যার ক্রিয়ার থেকে পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া বেশী। সমাজের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রেই দুর্বলের ওপর সবলের অত্যাচার তার প্রমাণ দেয়। এখানে কিন্তু শারীরিক ক্ষমতার কথা বলা হচ্ছে না, কোনো ব্যক্তির ওপর কার্যভার অর্পণ করে যে ক্ষমতা প্রদান করা হয়, সেটাই এখানকার আলোচ্য বিষয়। একজনকে ক্ষমতার অধিকারী করা হয় এই কারণে যাতে সে তার ঐ ক্ষমতাকে কাজে লাগিয়ে অন্যের সেবা করতে পারে। কিন্তু বাস্তবে ঠিক তার উল্টোটাই হয়ে থাকে। ক্ষমতার অপব্যবহার করে মানুষের ক্ষতি করা এবং চরম পর্যায়ে মানুষের জীবন শেষ করার ঘটনা দিন দিন বেড়েই চলেছে। তাই ক্ষমতা’র ক্ষেত্রে বলা যায় যে, একজনের ক্ষমতার সঠিক ব্যবহার করে অন্যের জীবন গড়া উচিত, কিন্তু ক্ষমতার অপব্যবহার করে তার জীবন নষ্ট করা কখনোই কাম্য নয়। সেজন্য ক্ষমতাই সব কিনা সেটাও বলা সম্ভব নয়।

এবার আসি ‘খ্যাতি’র কথায়। খ্যাতি আসলে কি? পরিচিতি, জনপ্রিয়তা- এসবই তো খ্যাতি নামে পরিচিত। কিন্তু এই খ্যাতি আসে কিভাবে? কাজের মাধ্যমে। কিন্তু কাজ তো ভালো, খারাপ- দুটোই হতে পারে! ঠিকই তো! সেজন্যই তো মানুষ বিখ্যাত এবং কুখ্যাত – দুইই হয়ে থাকে। একজন মানুষ উপরিউক্ত দুটো জিনিস অর্থাৎ ‘অর্থ’ ও ‘ক্ষমতা’ ছাড়াও খ্যাতি অর্জন করতে পারে ভালো কাজ করার মাধ্যমে। কোনো খ্যাতনামা ব্যক্তির সুপারিশে অনেকসময় অন্য একজন ব্যক্তির উপকারও হয়ে থাকে। কিন্তু কেউ যদি খ্যাতির শিখরে পৌঁছে অহংকারী হয়ে অন্যকে অবমাননা, অপমান, হেয় করার মাধ্যমে একের পর এক অনাচার করে থাকে, তাহলে সেই খ্যাতি অর্জনে কি লাভ!! তাই খ্যাতি ও একজন মানুষের জীবনে সব হওয়া উচিত নয়।

এখন যদি অর্থ/ক্ষমতা/খ্যাতি- এগুলোই সব না হয়, তাহলে কোন জিনিসটা সবথেকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ? চলো আলোচনা করা যাক –

অর্থ বা টাকা পয়সা দিয়ে প্রত্যক্ষ বা অপ্রত্যক্ষভাবে অন্য কারোর উপকার করাটা একটা মহৎ কাজ। যদিও তা না করা হয়, তাতেও কোনো সমস্যা নেই। কারণ একজন ব্যক্তি তার অর্জিত টাকার সম্পূর্ণটাই নিজের কাজে লাগাতে পারে, দান বা অন্যকে সাহায্য করাটা তার চরিত্রের মধ্যে বাধ্যতামূলক নাও হতে পারে। কিন্তু টাকা দিয়ে সে যদি কারোর অনিষ্ট করার মানসিকতা রাখে তাহলে তাকে কিভাবে মানুষ হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি দেওয়া যায়, প্রাধান্য দেওয়া তো দূর অন্ত। এই অনিষ্ট করার অর্থ যে সবসময় ক্ষতি করা, তা নয়, টাকার গরম দেখিয়ে অন্যকে টেক্কা দেওয়া, ছোট করা, অপমান করা, হাতের পুতল বানিয়ে রাখতে চাওয়া ইত্যাদিও এর অন্তর্ভুক্ত। চোর-ডাকাত, দুষ্কৃতি, দুর্নীতিবাজ- এদেরও প্রচুর টাকা থাকে। অন্যের ক্ষতি করে তারা ওই টাকা অর্জন করে এবং ওই অর্জিত টাকাকে কাজে লাগিয়ে আবার মানুষের ক্ষতি করার মাধ্যমে আরো বেশী টাকা অর্জন করে। যদি টাকাটাই সব হত, তাহলে তো এরাই সমাজের সর্বেসর্বা হয়ে উঠত, কিন্তু বাস্তবে তা কখনোই হয় না। ক্ষমতা ও খ্যাতির ক্ষেত্রেও ঠিক একইরকম বলা যায়।

“অর্থ, ক্ষমতা ও খ্যাতি” – এই তিনটে জিনিসকে ভালো কাজে লাগানো বা এই তিনটের সঠিক ব্যবহার একজন মানুষের পক্ষে তখনই সম্ভবপর হবে, যদি তার মধ্যে থাকে ‘মনুষ্যত্ব’। তাই সর্বপ্রথম মানুষ হওয়া দরকার, এবং তার পরে অর্থ/ক্ষমতা/খ্যাতি থাকলে তবেই সেই মানুষের সঠিক চরিত্রের পরিচয় পাওয়া যাবে। প্রতিটা মানুষই তার আপন আপন গতিতে চলে, এখন এই তিনটে জিনিসের অধিকারী কোনো মনুষ্যত্বহীন অহঙ্কারী ব্যক্তি যদি কোনো দরিদ্র, ক্ষমতাহীন, সাধারন একজন মানুষকে হেয় করে থাকে, তাকে অপমান করে ও তার ক্ষতি করে থাকে, তাহলে কিভাবে এগুলো তার ব্যক্তিত্বের সঠিক বর্ণনা দেবে! একজন প্রকৃত ‘মানুষ’ যদি সমাজের প্রভূত উন্নতিসাধনের জন্য নিজের চিন্তা-ভাবনাকে সঠিকভাবে কাজে লাগায়, আর তার সঙ্গে ওই তিনটে জিনিসের সু-ব্যবহার পায়, তাহলে সে অনেক বড় বড় সমস্যার সমাধান এক নিমেশেই করে ফেলতে পারে। বর্তমানে এর অভাবেই সমগ্র মানবজাতির অনিষ্ট হয়ে চলেছে। মানুষের মধ্যে থেকে মনুষ্যত্বের বিলোপ এবং এই তিনটে জিনিসের প্রাচুর্য সমাজের অবনতির মূল কারণ। সুতরাং এই তিনটে জিনিসের সুপ্রভাব অন্যের ওপর পড়ুক বা না পড়ুক, এর কুপ্রভাব পড়া থাকে বিরত থাকলে তবেই এগুলোকে ‘সম্পূর্ণ’ বলা যাবে। এবং সেটা একমাত্র মনুষ্যত্ব থাকলে তবেই হতে পারে।

আমার আবেদন: জীবনে টাকা-পয়সা, ক্ষমতা, খ্যাতি- এগুলো তো তুমি অর্জন করবেই। কারণ ভালোভাবে বেঁচে থাকার চাবিকাঠি তো এগুলোই! তার সাথে সাথে সুদৃঢ় চিন্তা-ভাবনা, সঠিক মানসিকতা এবং ভালো মানুষ হওয়া ও প্রয়োজন। অন্যকে যথাসম্ভব সাহায্য করো, না করতে চাইলে কোরো না। কিন্তু অর্থ, ক্ষমতা ও খ্যাতি- এগুলোর ভিত্তিতে অন্যকে অবমাননা করা বা তার ক্ষতি করার কথা কখনোই ভেবো না। নিজেকে মানুষ হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি দিতে পারলে তবেই না “অর্থ, ক্ষমতা ও খ্যাতি”- এগুলোর ফল ভোগ করে আনন্দ পাবে! সুস্থ মানসিকতাকে বিসর্জন দিয়ে রাশি রাশি অর্থ, ক্ষমতা ও খ্যাতি পুঞ্জিভূত করে কি লাভ!!

তাই ‘মনুষ্যত্ব’ হোক তোমার ‘সম্পদ’, “অর্থ, ক্ষমতা ও খ্যাতি”- এগুলো হোক তোমার ‘মূলধন’ আর “নির্বলকে সহায়তা” হোক তোমার ‘উদ্যোগ’। একজন উদ্যোগী হিসেবে মূলধনের সঠিক লগ্নিকরণের দ্বারা সম্পদকে কাজে লাগিয়ে একটা সুস্থ সমাজ গঠনের কারবার আজই শুরু করো।
